Whether you're teaching online or have students in multiple classrooms, it can be challenging to know how each of your students are doing. Some students may not feel comfortable or able to reach out to you if they're struggling with their classwork, or even personally. Because of this, we've adapted a feature called a Class Pulse, which sends out a customizable message from you "the Teacher" to the student, prompting a response as well as a "star rating" from 1-5 stars. You can use this to get a "pulse" on how each of your students are doing and if they are understanding the course work or perhaps they are in need of some emotional support. In addition to the rating, you can ask customized follow up questions ranging from how well they understand the concepts being taught, to simply how they're feeling that day. Keep your finger on each of your students with this great feature!

Creating Teams

To create your classroom's teams, select the Classes tab on the left hand side of your dashboard.

From here, select the classroom name you'd like to enable teams for.

Then, select the Class Pulse tab.

Then, select the blue+ Pulse button to create your pulse.

You can then customize your question and a follow-up message to your student, or leave as the default, as shown here. When you're finished, hit Submit.

After you've done this, you can see that your pulse has appeared in the list under the Class Pulse tab. From here, you can edit your pulse by hovering over it, then clicking the pencil icon, or delete it by clicking the trash icon.

When your students log in to Yeti Academy, they'll first see your pulse, then be asked to reply and choose a star rating.

Afterwards, they'll get the custom message that prompts them to answer your follow up question.

You can check your classroom's pulse responses by selecting Responses under the Pulse Tab.

From here, you'll be able to view your pulses from all of your students. You can also choose a date range, or download them by selecting the blue download icon.
